What Would They Say, If They Knew?

You're a monster -
cloaked by a golden skin.
Just give up the diamonds, baby,
they're never going to let you in.

The star-studded bunch
with their side-to-side stares.
Everything you've ever done
will never, with them, compare.

Dirty, filthy, bloody baby -
trust me now, you cannot save me.
If they only knew ...
What would they say?

What you do in the shade
underneath the falling leaves
can only be decrypted
through the voice of he that believes.

Dye your hair a different color.
I'll cast the first stone again and again.
Watch the water turn to blood
as the rinse reveals your every sin.

Ugly, sinful, nasty baby -
trust me now, you will not save me.
If they only knew ...
What would they say?

They say I'm corrupt.
They say I'm a tease.
They whip my body into shape
because I forgot to say please.
Who is really the monster -
the damned or the damner?
I guess the coffin lid has nails
but where did I leave that hammer?

Wash me now that I am crazy -
trust me now, you've got to save me.
What would they say?
                     If they only knew...

You could have told me it was never meant to be, baby.

Baby, you were never meant to be
The focus of this destruction
But when the moon pulled away
The waves just kept on truckin
Til our shores at last did ebb away
And the sands of time revealed
That nothing was meant to stay this way
In time it was doomed to be killed
I can't lock in a murderer
But your prints are on the gun
You told me drinking cyanide
Was such pleasurable fun
My wrists are bound and I am gagged
You really have me tied
As the poison of us sweeps my veins
Igniting the Holocaust inside
You punched my one-way ticket
And I'm barreling along the track
Laden with frozen memories
I know I'm never getting back.
All you had to do was tell me
Pick forgotten words up off the floor
Before you pulled the trigger, baby,
"I don't love you anymore."
